Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

Immanence Therapy is not in network with any insurances. If desired, I can provide a receipt for services (a “superbill”) that you may submit to your insurance for reimbursement. I recommend checking with them directly about coverage of out-of-network providers.

How does telehealth work?

The first step is to contact me to schedule a complimentary and obligation-free 15-minute consultation. We can do this over video or phone, whichever you prefer.

If we decide to work together, we will decide how we would like to meet. For video sessions, I use a HIPAA-compliant version of Zoom. If preferred, phone sessions are also available.

How long is a therapy session? How often do we meet?

A regular session is 50 minutes long, and we typically meet on a weekly basis.

We will usually start out with weekly sessions, minimally until we feel established and have an understanding of our goals. When desired or clinically appropriate, we can increase or decrease the cadence of our sessions to meet more than once a week, or every two weeks, or once a month.

With established clients and as needed or when beneficial, I also offer intensive sessions, which are 90 minutes long and typically involve experiential and somatic-energetic modalities.

Do you offer therapy in other languages besides English?

I currently offer therapy sessions in English and German.

I also understand and speak the following languages: Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, French, Italian, Icelandic. However, please be advised that the working language for our sessions would still need to be English or German.

Are you faith-based, or affiliated with any particular religion or spiritual movement?

No.

I am a transpersonal therapist, and not affiliated with any particular religion. I welcome clients of all faiths, as well as clients who identify as spiritual but not religious. I also want to especially support clients who were harmed by religion or cult movements, as well as deep thinkers who identify as atheist or agnostic.
